Expects to ship 100,000 units in 2011

D-Link has achieved better than expected sales of its IPTV Boxee Box set-top-box (STB), according to a report. Since its November launch event, D-Link claims that its sales performance in the US and Europe have frequently exceeded stock volumes. In the US the device is sold through Amazon and is also expected to reach Best Buy soon increasing its retail footprint significantly.

D-Link has stated that it expects 100,000 Boxee Boxes in 2011 as it expands its sales into the Middle East in January and then into China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other markets in the Asia Pacific region.

The Boxee Box is retailing through Amazon for $199.
