Palm Pixi 2 may have shown by accident at Sprint

HP's plans for a Pixi 2 may have been given away on Tuesday by a promo page on Sprint. Although supposedly advertising the existing Pixi, the image shows a device with what looks to be a front camera next to a sensor. Its wallpaper and keyboard are also visibly different than in any of the other product shots in the gallery.

Little has emerged of what a Pixi 2 would entail, but it could be badged as the smallest smartphone ever and could follow the pattern set by the Pre 2, where the emphasis has been on faster performance, better build quality and new features. Front cameras aren't publicly supported by webOS 2.0 and could come with later builds, such as the rumored webOS 2.1 or 2.5.

An introduction isn't expected for CES, but HP has supposedly planned to ship new Palm-made phones as frequently as every two months in 2011 and could start off quickly. [via UberGizmo]
