Launch at CES likely for HTC's budget WiMAX phone

A Radio Shack flyer confirms that the HTC Evo Shift 4G will be available on the Sprint network beginning January 9. Previous leaks had hinted at a January 9 ship date and $150 price tag with a two-year contract. It should be Sprint's WiMAX equivalent to the T-Mobile G2 with the same new generation 800MHz Snapdragon, Android 2.2 and a 3.7-inch display, but no front camera.

The Evo Shift 4G will likely be unveiled at CES in January, since it is scheduled to go on sale just as the Las Vegas technology expo comes to an end. [via Android Central]
