TV supports Netflix, CinemaNow

LG has formally introduced its latest flagship television, the LW9500 'Smart TV' series, which will be on display this week at CES. The new offerings provide access to a variety of Internet features, including Netflix, CinemaNow, educational courses, and games. Users can also wirelessly stream content from their computers or other compatible devices.

Earlier reports suggest the TVs integrate 480Hz panels and the thin "nano" LED backlighting that reportedly presents a brighter image with improved uniformity. The sets also ship with the company's Magic Motion remote control, which enables cursor-based navigation through the Home Dashboard interface.

LG has yet to announce pricing for the LW9500. Available sizes are expected to range from 47 to 60 inches. [via Akihabara]
