Sony reveals MHS-FS3 Bloggie 3D camcorder at CES

Sony unveils $250 3D camcorder, bloggers rejoice

Bloggers are increasingly becoming accepted as not only producers of content, but as identifiable and targetable consumers. As such, Sony has created the world's first pocket-sized 3D camcorder, known as the MHS-FS3 Bloggie 3D. This new camcorder comes with an entry-level price tag "around" $250, despite being capable of capturing HD 3D, as well as ull HD 2D MPEG-4 video or 5.1 megapixel photos.

The Bloggie 3D displays captures media via a 2.4-inch 3D LCD screen without glasses, or with glasses on any 3D-capable television via HDMI connection. The video which is captured in 19201080 high-definition 3D, as well as the 2D MP4 videos and five-megapixel still photos are all recorded via two lenses and sensors.

In order to facilitate quick and user-friendly uploading of content, the Bloggie 3D comes with embedded software (Mac/PC compatible) and a Share-it-Later feature for easy tagging and content upload to video-sharing websites. The Bloggie also features HDMI output connectivity for direct connection to HDTVs.

The Sony MHS-FS3 Bloggie 3D HD camcorder will be available in April and will retail for approximately $250.
