Launch date remains unclear

INQ's Cloud Touch handset has surfaced at the Bluetooth SIG for qualification tests, suggesting the device is one step closer to arriving on the market. The listing also provides a brief description of the device, which is already expected to maintain a focus on Facebook functionality. The Android-based smartphone is said to be designed for "faster and smarter" messaging, with Facebook "built into its core."

The listing also describes a UI with multiple entry options on the homescreen for adding or accessing Facebook content. Users will also be able to view status updates, albums, videos and photos from a widget display.

It is unclear if the Cloud Touch represents the Facebook-branded phone that INQ is said to be working on. The company has yet to announce pricing information or a launch date, though the device is believed to be on track for the middle of this year. [via Unwired View]
