iRiver U100 revealed, will get up to 16GB

iRiver has outed its next generation portable media player due for Korea this year, though not on its global website yet. The U100 will sport a 3.1-inch, 320x480 touchscreen and as much as 16GB of built-in memory in the higher-end models. It will also come in 4GB and 8GB sizes.

The U100 will also get Wi-Fi, a microSDHC slot, an FM Tuner and the company's characteristically broad file format support for audio, photos and video. It supports playing 720p video, though the display limits the actual output. The small player's battery life is said to provide up to 50 hours of audio playback and as much as 11 hours when playing videos.

Pricing or a release date have not been made known, however. The U100 will be available in black, green, pink and black with pink accents and black with green accents. [via Akihabara]
