HP says webOS netbooks in the future

HP in a webOS learning guide has virtually confirmed that Palm's mobile platform will come to netbooks. It promised webOS on a "phone and a slate and a netbook" in part of the presentation. A review quiz reinforced the point by asking a question where the only correct answer to a " you'll see webOS on multiple devices like" question included netbooks as part of the answer.

The computer is still mostly an unknown, but it may be one of the devices to show at the February 9 webOS event. It may use an ARM-based processor and will need a new version of webOS to support a larger screen.

HP briefly tried to get into the category of mobile-based notebooks with its Airlife 100 running Android. The system was mostly a conversion of a Mini netbook but could run for 12 hours on a charge and was relatively inexpensive, even with built-in 3G. [via PreCentral]
