Evo 4G now just $100 at Amazon through Sprint

The HTC Evo 4G smartphone, with its 4.3-inch touchscreen, 1GHz CPU and 8-megapixel camera, is now available for just $100 when tied to a contract with Sprint through Amazon. The price is half the that the Android 2.2 flaghsip at Sprint itself. The deal extends to both black and white versions.

The Evo 4G was the first WiMAX phone in the US and supports higher download speeds of up to 3-6Mbps in real-world conditions. It was launched in the summer of 2010. The price drop may be due to the introduction of Sprint's latest 4G handset, the Shift 4G, just ahead of the CES show two weeks ago.
