Epson shows four new educational projectors
Epson on Tuesday introduced its new PowerLite D6000 series and the PowerLite 1850 projector. The former includes the PowerLite D6150, D6155W and D6250, all of which tout high brightness and a dust-resistant design that helps them achieve long lamp life. All three have an electrostatic filter that is said to last 10,000 hours and a lamp with a 5,000-hour life rating.
The PowerLite D6150 brings 3,500 lumens of color and white light output along with an XGA (1024x768) resolution, while the D6155W adds a widescreen WXGA resolution. The PowerLite D6250 bumps up brightness to 4,000 lumens but retains the XGA resolution.
All three share an HDMI input, USB ports for plug and play presentations and an optional wireless connection. Two, side-by-side windows can be projected from two inputs for simultaneous presentations.
The PowerLite 1835 has an XGA resolution and is rated at 3,500 lumens of brightness. It is made to be easily installed anywhere in any room. It also gets an HDMI input, USB plug and play and an optional wireless connection. There is a built-in 16W speaker along with a closed captioning decoder. The lamp is rated at up to 6,000 hours in economy mode.
The Epson PowerLite D6150 will cost $1,649, the D6155W $1,799 and the D6250 $1,799 when they launch in April. The Epson PowerLite 1835 ships in March for $1,199.
