Cricket launches Muve music service in Vegas

Cricket Wireless has now launched its Muve Music service in Las Vegas. Introduced one month ago, the $55 per month all-in phone service will include unlimited music downloads that users can keep in addition to unlimited calls and data. Thus far, it's only available on the Samsung Suede handset.

Nationwide calls, text, picture and video messaging are included, along with global text messaging under the plan. Unlimited e-mail, data back-up and video are also part of the plan, along with access to ringtones and ringback tones.

Available music includes that from Universal, Warner, Sony and EMI Music, the four major music labels. Users access tracks from the Get Music storefront, can organize and make custom ringtones from their downloaded libraries in My Music and listen to created playlists by genre from My DJ. Sharing is done through a native Get Social app. Shazam links to Get Music to download a track heard on the radio or elsewhere.

The service and handset are due to arrive in 13 other major coverage areas in February before expanding to more Cricket cities in the spring. The Suede is priced at $200.
