Tablet likely to be sold alongside Scribe
HTC is reportedly readying a new tablet, named the Flyer, that will be formally unveiled sometime in March, sources have told DigiTimes. The new device is said to be the first of three tablets the company is planning to introduce in the first half of 2011, with two more models scheduled for the second quarter.
Details surrounding the Flyer remain slim, though the device reportedly resembles the general form of the Desire smartphone. The first customers allegedly will be limited to using Android 2.3, but the company will upgrade the device to Honeycomb "whenever the new OS is available," the sources said.
Aside from the Flyer, the other two HTC tablets are allegedly being delayed until June when Honeycomb is expected to be available. Separate reports suggest the flagship device may be the Scribe, which is expected to integrate Tegra 2 components and a 1280x720 display.
