HTC Sensation may be new tablet interface
HTC has filed for a trademark that may be an indication of the custom interface for the Flyer, Scribe and possibly one more Android tablet. An EU trademark for "HTC Sensation" makes reference to it being for "user interface software" and "telecommunications services" for mobile devices of various kinds, including computers and phones. The name clearly recalls HTC's usual Sense UI from its phones and suggests an expansion.
No leaks have emerged as to what Sensation would entail, although the tablet adaptation is considered the most likely. It could alternately be a third generation of HTC's interface or an expansion of its online services beyond the basic sync features on tap today.
Only some details have emerged of HTC's tablet plans, but the tablets could be tiered. The Flyer may be limited to Android 2.3 at first and upgrade to 3.0 only later. Scribe has been cast more as a 3.0 flagship with a 1280x720 screen, an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, likely dual cameras and a combined 38GB of total internal and microSDHC storage in the box. The Flyer could ship in March while the Scribe and a third variant wouldn't be ready until June. [via AndroidOS.in]
