HTC Flyer to compete with Galaxy Tab, get LTE?

The expected HTC Flyer tablet has now received some leaked, unofficial specs. According to Amobil, the tablet will mimic the Galaxy Tab by centering on a seven-inch, 1024x600 display. It should otherwise sport the same 1GHz Snapdragon processor as found in the Desire HD smartphone but could have LTE 4G in some versions.

There will also allegedly be two cameras onboard, with a five-megapixel unit on the rear and a front-firing 1.3-megapixel camera for the pre-installed Skype app. The main camera should get LED flash and racial recognition. An HDMI output will complement the DLNA-enabled wireless streaming capability. Previously, the device was expected to sport an NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset and a 1280x720 resolution for its display.

While the model may get Android 2.3, it will more likely ship with Android 3.0. It will be overlaid with a variation on HTC Sense, however, for a more desktop-like browsing experience.

There is also word of another tablet, a 10-inch version, to compete directly with the iPad. This may be the Scribe HTC has acknowledged in trademark filings.
