Dashboard feature gives better business overview

Computech has loosed a new version of its business management software, releasing BusinessMan 3.0 today. The software handles most aspects of a business, from its resource planning with CRM capabilities to estimating and invoicing to resource scheduling. Version 3 adds a Project Management module, supporting drag-and-drop Gantt charts and task, job and resource allocation. Also new is a module for Bill of Materials, which tracks assemblies from inventory to completion.

Other modules have been updated with new capabilities like adding timeline views to the Resource Scheduling module. A drag-and-drop inventory system is new and sales orders can generate unlimited work orders. There is also a quick overview available on the software's dashboard -- it can track deliveries, quotes, sales, purchase orders and other daily details of a running business.

The software requires the use of FileMakerPro, which it includes in the price of licenses. It works on Mac OS X 10.5.7 and up. Licenses start at $960 for a single user, $3660 for three users with FileMaker Pro licenses and server included, and $9550 for 10-users plus FileMakerPro and its server. Larger license quantities are also available.
