Plantronics celebrates 50th anniversary
Plantronics is celebrating its 50th anniversary by introducing a number of new products, including the Voyager Pro UC Bluetooth headset and Calisto 800 speakerphone series chief among them. The latter is the first product of its kind at the company and allows multiple Bluetooth devices to be connected and offers visual call management. They are made to work with Microsoft Office Communicator and Lync in private and home office environments.
The Calisto 825 has ships with the PA50 wireless microphone and sports a 2.4-inch color display and a touch-sensitive dial pad. It also provides a 3.5mm headphone jack for corded headsets or headphones. The full-duplex speakerphone and integrated microphone sports noise cancellation technology and can be used for group conferencing.
The new Voyager headset uses a new Smart Sensor that will answer calls when the headset is placed on the ear, transfers calls between mobile phones and itself, and automatically detects softphones from Avaya, Cisco, IBM and others. It sports dual microphones to cancel external noise and has A2DP support for streaming music.
The Voyager Pro UC costs $200, while the Calisto 825 costs $260. [via SlashGear]
