New comes via Twitter tweets

Microsoft has reportedly begun distributing payments to Windows Phone 7 developers. Microsoft has been good to its word as it had previously promised developers that they would begin to receive their first payments in the fourth week of January. The news has emerged via developers posting tweets through Twitter.

One developer, Andy Beaulieu contacted Mobilitydigest.com to confirm that he had been the recipient of a direct deposit into his account “sometime yesterday”. So far, there have been no indications about how profitable Windows Phone apps have been for developers who have received payments.
