Slacker update has better LTE, WiMAX 4G support

Slacker Radio has released an update for its app on the Android Market that will mainly allow for higher bitrates and larger album art when streaming over a 4G network. At the same time, several bug fixes were performed to the app. The update, which deals with permissions, will not update automatically, so users need to visit the Android Market and do so manually.

Slacker Radio offers access to over 2.4 million songs divided into more than 100 Internet radio stations. A paid service, Slacker Radio Plus, costs $5 per month and waives all audio or banner ads while adding unlimited song skips, complete lyrics and mobile station caching, as well as access to ABC News.
