Touchscreen working, graphics acceleration next

A hacker going by the username of @deeper-blue has posted photos and video (embedded below) of Android 3.0 Honeycomb running on a Nook Color. Appearing on an xda-developers forum thread dedicated to the hack, @deeper-blue has been able to boot the OS on the Nook over the space of just a few days. Initially, Android booted, but no control was available.

Over the past couple of days however, @deeper-blue has been able to enable touchscreen support but noted that although the OS is running, it still quite slow at this point. The next stage in the hack to is to enable graphics acceleration, which should speed up the interface considerably. The aim is to get this working over this weekend.

At the time of posting this article, graphics acceleration for the Nook running Android 3.0 is still to come.
