Latest member of the Xperia family

Sony Ericsson is reportedly set to launch the Android-based Neo smartphone in two weeks at Mobile World Congress, sources have told TechRadar. The Neo name is said to be the official label for the same device that has been detailed in separate leaks under several other code-names including Vivaz 2, MT15i and Hallon.

If the report is accurate, the Neo reportedly integrates a front-facing camera for video calling, an 854x480 touchscreen, and a 1GHz Qualcomm CPU paired with an Adreno GPU. The company is said to be shipping the phone with Android 2.3 pre-installed.

Sony Ericsson is widely expected to expand its Xperia family next month at Mobile World Congress. It remains unclear if the unveiling will focus on a single device or multiple new handsets in the lineup.
