OnLive $10 monthly PlayPack service goes live

OnLive has now launched its PlayPack subscription service introduced in December. For $10 a month, users can play for an unlimited time, picking from 38 titles. They are different from the stand-alone game offerings, which tend to be newer and more popular titles.

OnLive is offering a free trial month of the service, and the company promises to add more titles as time goes on. Users can save games, with the files retained for up to one year after they stop subscribing.

Users can access the OnLive service, subscription or otherwise, over the Mac OS X and Windows browser plug-ins as well as OnLive's MicroConsole hardware. [via CNET]

    Great deal

The OnLive PlayPack is definitely a great deal. You may not get to play all the new games for $9.99/month but if they continue to add more and more games every month, there should be a decent selection.
