OTA releases bring multi-touch and ANT+ support

Sony Ericsson has reportedly begun pushing updates to its Xperia X10 and X8 handsets. The X10 release primarily focuses on multi-touch abilities, enabling users to take advantage of pinch-to-zoom functionality in apps such as Google Maps and the browser. The smaller handset, the X8, now supports ANT+ for communication with bicycle computers, heart rate motors and other wireless sensors.

Both updates also add an iproved version of Moxier, with a new widget for e-mail, calendar content and tasks. Users can also trim videos directly from the handset interface, or convert high-quality videos to MMS formats.

The company is said to be sending the new features via automatic over-the-air updates. [via Android Community]
