Latest rumors point to $30 unlimited plan
Verizon may launch its 4G LTE network without bumping up the price of its unlimited data plan, which currently costs $30/month, sources have told Droid Life. The latest information contradicts separate reports pointing to a new pricing structure for 4G plans, though it may be accurate in the interim as the network expands across the country.
Other rumors suggest the carrier is planning to charge its standard $30 price for 3G service, plus an additional $15 for 4G data. The company, like its competitors, is eventually expected to end its unlimited data plans in favor of tiered or usage-based charges.
Verizon has yet to confirm pricing details for its 4G network, which will be activated in select markets sometime before the end of the year.
