Xperia Arc smartphone coming to Three, Vodafone

UK network operators Three and Vodafone will soon get Sony Ericsson's Xperia Arc smartphone, both announced on Wednesday. While release dates weren't specific, it's expected the phone will begin arriving in April. Pricing for the device at either carrier also remains unknown.

The smartphone will be a return to premium models for Sony Ericsson as it promises a second-generation 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 4.2-inch touchscreen and an eight-megapixel camera. It will run on Android 2.3 and ship bundled with an 8GB microSD memory card. The handset earns its name from its curved, 0.34-inch thick profile.

The handset is also expected to ship in other markets, with the US included, during the first half of the year. [via RegHardware]
