Just waiting for official launch
The forthcoming Sony Ericsson Xperia Play has apparently suffered yet another major leak ahead of its official unveiling. The latest is the appearance of the retail booths for the gaming-centered Android-based smartphone. The booths' feature the slogan "Smart Phone, Smart Gaming", accompanied with a gaming graphic and image of the phone's unique slider style game pad.
While the phones that have been placed on the booth for the photo do not appear to be even dummy versions of the Xperia Play, the booth itself looks authentic.
Other details already known about the phone are that it will be powered by a ualcomm Adreno 205 GPU paired with a 1GHz Snapdragon QSD8255. Intended for long gaming sessions, the phone comes equipped with a high capacity 1,500mAh battery. The new display is 854x480 pixels and measures 4.0-inches diagonally. It has 512MB of RAM, 512 of ROM, a microSD slot, SIM slot, micro-USB port a 5-megapixel camera equipped with an LED flash.
Also recently revealed is that the Xperia Play will come with Sony's newly announced Playstation Suite for Android devices. [via All About Phones]
