RIM drops Flickr upload app for BlackBerry

Users directed to use Flickr's mobile site

Research In Motion has announced that it will no longer offer its native Flickr Uploader app for BlackBerry handsets. The company did not provide a specific reason for the move, though users are directed to take advantage of Flickr's own mobile site for uploads. Users must also manually remove the existing Flickr app from their handset.

Support for the native uploader app will be discontinued as of March 1, at which point the app will present a "request failed" notification when users attempt to upload photos.
