IE9 Release Candidate now out for download

As promised, Microsoft has now made the Internet Explores 9 Release Candidate build available for download. Users can download the software in 40 languages, and reflects 17,000 pieces of feedback regarding IE9 from the beta tests. Microsoft touts increases in speed on real-world websites, a faster JavaScript engine, compiler optimizations and network cache tuning.

There is also less memory usage than the beta version thanks to tweaks such as image decoding. New web standards, including HTML5 Geolocation, CSS3 2D Transforms and CanvasPixelArray are supported.

An all-in-one search and address bar much like that in Chrome, called One Bar, is also present. One Bar allows a choice of search engines and will show history along with search and direct addresses.

A full list of the changes in the IE9 RC is available on Microsoft's blog dedicated to the browser.
