LG VL600 modem gets Mac support

Verizon has quietly added Mac support to the second of its two current 4G modems. The LG VL600 now works with any Mac supporting Mac OS X Tiger or later in 32-bit mode. Like the Pantech modem, the USB stick should provide about 5-12Mbps downstream under a real-world network load and up to 5Mbps upstream.

Both modems had been launched as Windows only but were promised to get Mac support later on. Novatel was the first to pledge Mac support for its own USB551L stick but won't ship it until later. [via Manuel]
