Device represents larger variant of the 4" model

Samsung may be set to introduced yet another Galaxy S variant designed as a PMP rather than a smartphone. The new device, which is said to be named the Galaxy S Wi-Fi 5.0, appears to represent a larger variant of the Player 50 PMP. The latter model has allegedly been renamed to Galaxy S Wi-Fi 4.0 to match the same naming scheme, sources have told Engadget.

The 5.0 edition seems to feature a larger screen, measuring 5-inches and representing a significant jump from the 4.0 model. The new gadget also appears to integrated a front-facing camera, while HDMI output and a microSD slot round out the expected features.

Samsung has yet to officially unveil the Wi-Fi 5.0, however the device may be one of the products set to be introduced later this evening at a special event for Mobile World Congress. Electronista will be present at the event to check out any of the company's new offerings.
