Graham Short writes on edge of razer blade

The UK's Graham Short, "the world's smallest engraver," has outdone himself by etching "Nothing is Impossible" on the sharp edge of a razor blade. The feat took 150 attempts and is just a tenth of a millimeter across and requires a microscope with a 400x magnification for viewing. Short's levels of preparation and concentration were nothing short of amazing, requiring working at night and making strokes between the beats of his heart.

Short monitored his slowed heartbeat with a stethoscope. He is able to slow his resting heart rate to just 30 beats per minute after an hour-and-a-half long process. Work was done between midnight and 5:00 am six nights a week, to minimize distractions and traffic vibrations. Short was able to complete as many as three letter per night.

Graham Short is known for other miniature creations, such as engraving 278 letters of the Lord's Prayer on the head of a gold pin. His latest creation on the Wilkinson Sword razer blade is now for sale for the equivalent of $76,000. [via PSFK]
