Snapdragon devices with Snapdragon get Netflix

Qualcomm at MWC announced that future portable Android devices with the company's Snapdragon CPUs will have native support for streaming movies and TV shows from Netflix. The Netflix application will be easy on battery life as well, Qualcomm says, as efficient dedicated hardware will handle video decoding. The Netflix certification is also granted to the device thanks to Snapdragon's dynamic performance and media protection features.

The native application on Snapdragon devices is being shown off at the currently ongoing MWC show in Spain.

Netflix has granted Watch Instantly certification for Apple's iOS devices as well as those running on Windows Phone 7.
