Handset set to arrive on February 22
Radio Shack has announced that it will offer Motorola's Atrix 4G smartphone at a slight discount compared to other retailers, enabling customers to pick up the new handset for $150 with a two-year AT&T contract. The retailer is also offering a more modest discount on the Lapdock bundle, which includes the smartphone and a 11.6-inch netbook dock for $480.
The Atrix is based in NVIDIA's dual-core Tegra 2 platform, which drives Android 2.2 and a 540x960 touchscreen. Other features include 1GB of RAM, a five-megapixel camera, 720p video capture, and support for AT&T's faster HSPA+ network.
Radio Shack will have the Atrix 4G available in stores beginning on February 22. The dock will be sold at select locations.
