Handheld PS2 console built by modder, up for sale

A Modretro forum member and skilled modder, techknott, has just posted a home-built PlayStation 2 console up for sale. The device uses an add-on screen made for the PSone by Sony, along with the original backlight. There are USB connections and a headphone jack, as well as integrated speakers; it lacks built-in batteries, however.

Techknott said the size of his creation is no larger in footprint than a PS2 game case. The creation was made for a client who went cold on the deal, and is now up for sale, though Techknott is entertaining offers and not stating what he wants for it.

The builder has customized other systems in the past, including a portable Sega Dreamcast, and has developed a reputation on the forums for creating quality products.
