Xtreamer Prodigy media streamer has AirPlay, more

Xtreamer has just introduced a new media streaming hub called the Prodigy. The advanced device sports a Realtek 1185 chipset and has USB 3.0 ports. A sharp break, however, is its unique combination of seemingly conflicting technology. It combines an Adobe Flash-based user interface with support for Apple's remote AirPlay streaming as well as Mediafly, Google Talk, Netflix, Last FM, Pandora and Facebook, among others.

Otherwise, the device sports 256MB of RAM, 512MB of internal flash storage for caching, an HDMI output and a 3.5-inch hard drive bay. Also included is an IR remote control along with a multi-card reader.

The device is said to launch in just over four days, and is expected to cost the equivalent of $164.
