Rinspeed BamBoo concept sports Harman tech

At the Geneva Motor Show, audio gear maker Harman has announced it teamed up with German concept car maker and tuner Rinspeed on what the two call the world’s first social networking vehicle. It sports Aha Radio tech that will read out text-based content from Twitter, Facebook, podcasts and streaming music, along with an integrated Wi-Fi connection. It will also have the ability to integrate with Android smartphones and HTC-made tablets for SMS and e-mail integration.

Wireless DLNA support is likewise present, allowing users to sync to their home's Harman Kardon media player. The car has a JBL GreenEdge surround sound audio system that emphasizes low-energy output. Pedestrians will be warned thanks to Harman's HALOsonic Electronic Sound Synthesis (ESS) feature.

The system will also monitor the car's energy levels and available range. If the car or any of its technologies ever come to market remains to be seen.
