Showcases best games, best graphics

NVIDIA has introduced the NVIDIA Tegra Zone app on the Android Market. The aim of the app is to highlight apps that NVIDIA has singled out as best making use of the Tegra hardware platform. The app showcases the best gaming apps by giving users access to reviews, high-resolution screen shots, HD trailers including in gaming action. Bonus behind-the-scenes footage is also featured.

Among the games already featured include, Samurai II: Vengeance, First Wave Deluxe and Galaxy on Fire. "We're working with game developers and publishers to turbocharge mobile gaming for Android super phones and tablets," said Tony Tamasi an NVIDIA Senior VP.

"Our goal is to bring a console- class gaming experience to super phones and tablets and bring the generation of gaming to the future of mobile devices. Tegra Zone is a free app we've built so gamers can find great games for Tegra in one easy place."

The app will be particularly useful for people who have purchased the Motorola Xoom, LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix or Droid Bionic and who are looking to see what their new hand-held device is capable of. [via Pocket-lint]
