Target to get iPad 2 on launch, Best Buy not showing some

Target to have iPad 2 on March 11
Target quietly said this weekend that it would carry the iPad 2 on launch day. The retail chain plans to join Best Buy and Walmart. A spokesman told PCWorld the company's trade-in program would take original iPads on March 13 for those who aren't comfortable with selling the device off themselves.
Simultaneously, Best Buy has raised some early questions about its iPad 2 lineup with listings that omit some models. It so far shows only black models and only mentions 3G versions with HSPA for AT&T, not the Verizon edition. The chain hasn't said whether or not it planned to limit stock or if the omission was temporary.
Apple's lineup for the iPad 2 is potentially daunting for third-party retailers. A retailer that would carry all three capacities, versions for both 3G networks and both black and white colors would have 24 separate models. The sheer variety raises the likelihood that certain models would go unsold.

2 colors * 3 capacities * 3 connectivity options (WiFi, AT&T, & Verizon) = 18 models not 24.
