Nyko intros power add-ons for Nintendo 3DS owners

Nyko helped load up the upcoming American launch of the Nintendo 3DS with two new accessories to extend its relatively short battery life. The Power Pak+ plugs into the 3DS and roughly doubles the battery life. While it adds extra bulk, it has a debossed surface to improve the grip.

Gamers who use the Power Pak+ often can opt for the Charge Base. It powers up the 3DS directly and comes with a Power Pak+ of its own to extend the longevity.

Either can use the official 3DS AC adapter for a recharge. The Power Pak+ should be available day and date with the 3DS on March 27 for $20. Nyko anticipates that the Charge Base will be ready shortly afterwards and should cost $30.
