NoDo update for HTC HD7, Mozart surfaces

updated 10:50 pm EST, Tue March 8, 2011

Updates arrive as unofficial builds

While owners of HTC's HD7 and Mozart devices still wait for a software update from Microsoft, unofficial builds have surfaced for both devices. The HD7 update and Mozart release, which were posted on the XDA-Developers forums, are both said to be based on the build number 7389, otherwise referred to as the NoDo update.

The hacked ROMs are expected to offer copy-and-paste functionality, an improved browser with HTML5 support, and other performance improvements and minor tweaks. It is unclear if the unofficial builds support the full range of carriers for each device.

Microsoft is expected to release its official updates sometime in the first weeks of March, however the company has yet to commit to an exact time-frame.
