Microsoft delays Windows Phone 7 NoDo update

Microsoft France today said that the NoDo update for Windows Phone 7 was being narrowed down to the "second half of March." The company at Mobile World Congress had hinted at an early March date.

It didn't explain the delay, but the repeatedly failing Samsung update was the likely cause. A minor update has had to push out to all phones to get them ready for NoDo's feature set, but the Focus and Omnia 7 have had problems that either stopped the update or, in the worst cases, bricked the devices entirely and forced a careful restore or a store return.

NoDo adds in copy-and-paste text as well as faster Windows Phone Marketplace interaction and other important fixes.
