ASUS' Windows 7-based Eee Pad TF101 tablet surfaces at FCC

updated 10:50 pm EDT, Mon March 14, 2011

Specs expected to be similar to EP121

ASUS' latest tablet offering, the Eee Pad TF101, has surfaced at the FCC for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth testing and approval. The company has yet to disclose full specs for the device, though the model number suggests it offers a 10.1-inch touchscreen. The Windows 7 device is expected to offer many of the same features as its larger cousin, the EP121, which was previewed earlier this year at CES.

The EP121 tablet integrates robust hardware, including a dual-core Core i5 CPU and up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM. The FCC documents for the TF101 show a rear-facing camera on the textured back panel, however further details remain unclear.

ASUS has yet to announce pricing information or launch details for the TF101. [via Wireless Goodness]
