D-Link ships two compact USB Wi-Fi adapters

D-Link has began shipping two new USB wireless N adapters on Wednesday in the the Wireless N 150 Pico Adapter DWA-121 and the Wireless N Nano USB Adapter DWA-131. Meant to sit semi-permanently in a notebook's USB port, the tiny adapters have higher speeds than the previous 802.11g adapters from before. The DWA-121 is the frugal version and offers speeds of up to 150Mbps.

The DWA-131 has a peak 300Mbps speed and gets multiple in, multiple out (MIMO) antennas to both reach the faster transmit speeds as well as catch multiple signals off walls and ceilings to dodge interference.

Both ship with a Quick Setup Wizard and a Wireless Manager that tracks recently accessed networks. They can be locked down with Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) and work with Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7.

Either is now shipping for $50 each.
