O2 Germany first carrier to commit to HP Veer
Wireless provider O2 Germany, through a tweet, has confirmed it will begin offering the HP Veer. It has become the first to commit to the webOS device, which is the smallest to date and the first to ship with webOS 2.1. The Veer will sport an 800MHz CPU and support 7.2Mbps HSPA for 3G.
It otherwise gets a 2.6-inch touchscreen with 320x400 resolution in addition to a slide-out hardware QWERTY keyboard. There is also 8GB of storage space onboard, along with a Wi-Fi radio, Bluetooth 2.1, assisted GPS and a five-megapixel camera. An accelerometer is also integrated.
The Veer weighs just 103 grams. O2 Germany hasn't revealed how much the device will cost, but did say it's coming in May.
