Tablet priced at £500

HTC's Flyer tablet is set to arrive at the UK mobile retailer Clove sometime in the middle of April. The company is already taking pre-orders, with pricing set at £500 (~$805 USD) excluding VAT and £600 (~$966 USD) including VAT. The device integrates a 1.5GHz processor and a 1024x600 display that spans seven inches.

The tablets will initially ship with Android 2.4, as HTC claims it did not have enough time to work with Android 3.0 before the launch date. The stock OS has been paired with an updated version of HTC's Sense UI, which has been reworked for the larger screen.

The company has yet to announce specific details regarding a North American launch. Other countries are expected to get the Flyer in the spring, however.
