Dell freshens up Vostro 3000 notebooks

Dell on Thursday announced revamped Vostro 3000 series notebooks meant for business users. The new models include the 13-inch 3350, 14-inch 3450, 15-inch 3550 and 17-inch 3750. Some models offer the option of a 12-hour battery, and all ship with Intel's 2011 Core (Sandy Bridge) processors.

The aluminum finished notebooks have a new chiclet keyboard, and are the first to get SRS Premium Voice Pro software. All but the 13-inch models get a full HD webcam, which can be used for video chats thanks to the pre-installed Skype app. USB 3.0 ports and Bluetooth 3.0 are integrated, as is a fingerprint reader. Newly available colors include silver, red and bronze.

The new range begins shipping on March 22, with the 3350 prices starting at $599, the 3450 notebooks at $499, the 3550s at $499 and the 3750s at $549.
