LG G-Slate and G2X tentatively due for April 20
T-Mobile's two most important launches of the spring, the LG G-Slate tablet and the similarly LG-made G2X, may have had ther launches identified by a leak from a carrier source. Both of the Android devices reportedly won't make the March 23 target but should instead ship one month later, on March 20. TmoNews didn't get a reason for the launch window and warned that it might be prone to change.
The two should be T-Mobile's fastest devices ever and will both have NVIDIA Tegra 2 processors with enough power to render 1080p video. The G-Slate is a straightforward port of the Optimus Pad and brings the Android 3.0-based, glasses free 3D tablet over with HSPA+ on T-Mobile's network. The Optimus G2X will most likely do the same for HSPA+, just with regular 2D image shooting as well as Android 2.2.
T-Mobile is very likely to formally launch one or both at the CTIA mobile show next week, but it may not be ready to commit to a firm release schedule.
