Dell Streak 7 Wi-Fi at Amazon and in Wi-Fi cert

A Wi-Fi only version of the Dell Streak 7 has effectively been made official through store listings and testing. Amazon already has a pre-order page for the Android 2.2 design that lists it as costing $380, or about $70 less than the HSPA+ 3G version on T-Mobile. Amazon didn't give a clue as to when the tablet would ship.

Separately, the Wi-Fi Alliance has certified the same Streak 7 device. It didn't mention the device by name, but the M02M002 model number recalls the M02M of the original Streak 7. The Alliance has listed it as a "Wi-Fi only" device and hints the 002 suffix is a sign of it being a distinct model.

Regardless of the networking, the Streak 7 has a Tegra 2, dual cameras, and Android 2.2 using Dell's in-house Stage UI. It may eventually get a newer version of Android, although 3.0 may be difficult due to the 800x480 resolution. [via AndroidOS and StreakSmart]
