Google TV Remote for iPhone official

Google in a low-key move has put out an official Google TV Remote app for the iPhone (free, App Store). Like its Android sibling, it can handle both regular TV duties as well as the search and navigation features specific to a Google TV box or set. It builds in Google's voice search, even for traditional TV, and has both a directional pad and a trackpad-like mode to give it better control.

Deeper controls let users either force on the keyboard at any time or search for the location of a favorite button.

The app works on any iOS 3.0 or later device. So far, just the Logitech Revue and Sony's Internet TV hardware run Google TV, but the app should be forward-compatible. More than one remote app can connect at the same time to a single media hub.

    UI confusing mess

The chaotic mess of that app perfectly represents the device it controls.
