Firefox 4 final out one day ahead of schedule

After an initial delay, Mozilla's Firefox 4 final has been made available one day early. The browser can be downloaded for Mac or Windows systems now. Whether Mozilla had something to do with the early release isn't known at this point but unlikely as the software is not yet on Mozilla's site.

The cross-platform browser includes a popup blocker, tabbed browsing, a smarter search, easier downloading, and improved privacy and security features. The release was a long time coming, as it passed through 12 betas before reaching the Release Candidate stage. [via BusinessInsider]
