Sandy Bridge Core i5, i7 options said to be added

Dell is reportedly preparing to upgrade its M11X gaming ultraportable with a variety of new CPU options based on Intel's Sandy Bridge architecture. The R3 edition is said to integrate the same 11.6-inch 136x768 LCD as its predecessor, but with several new Core i5 and Core i7 processor options with base clock speeds ranging from 1.4GHz to 1.6GHz.

Aside from the new CPUs, the M11X R3 will reportedly offer a 63 Wh battery, various HDD and SSD storage options, and up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM. The source of the latest information did not list details regarding the discrete graphics processor, though the current model utilizes NVIDIA's 1GB GT335M components.

Dell has yet to confirm plans to launch the M11X R3; pricing and release dates remain unknown.
